Environmental and Climate Monitoring Lab

1. INTRODUCTION

The Environmental and Climate Monitoring Laboratory (Laboratory) was established in 2022. This is a specialized laboratory for teaching and research. The laboratory operates regularly to create conditions for students and staff to practice and experiment to consolidate theories, support specialized courses, and conduct scientific research.

3. LOCATION

Room number 2.25 at the Building ATL

4. LAB EQUIPMENT

The laboratory is fully equipped with specialized equipment and tools. At the same time, coordinate with other laboratories in the department to ensure adequate service for learning and research.

The laboratory's equipment is purchased mainly from the budget and international cooperation programs, especially the Japanese ODA program.

Some of the main equipment in the laboratory includes:

5. FUNCTIONS AND MISSIONS

The Environmental and Climate Monitoring Laboratory ensures two main functions:

  • Teaching practice: Practice on Environmental Quality Management; Thesis on environmental management; and Mapping and GIS
  • Supporting scientific research.

6. FIELD OF RESEARCH AND APPLICATION

  • Teaching theory and practice of modules such as Environmental Quality Management, Ecosystem Management, Syllabus Internship, Graduation Thesis,...
    instruct students to practice
  • Research on the assessment of environmental resource management and biodiversity Specifically, the analysis of biodiversity indicators of groups of organisms will be applied to the conservation of biological resources, including the maintenance of native species in parallel with the management and prevention of alien species. hybrid;
  • Biodiversity analysis as an indicator of aquatic and benthic groups applied to the assessment of environmental quality of soil and water
  • Support research and analysis in domestic and foreign cooperation projects.
  • Storing samples of biodiversity in the Mekong Delta region

7. ORIENTATION OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

    • Human resource development laboratories regularly require staff to go to training to improve their professional qualifications.
    • The laboratory will continue to strengthen and add a full range of equipment to serve teaching practice subjects and research projects in professional fields as well as other related fields and industries...
