DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources belonging to the College of Environment and Natural Resources was established under Decision No 187/QĐ-ĐHCT dated 19 February 2008 and officially changed its name to Department of Environmental Management under Decision No. 264/QĐ-ĐHCT dated 30/01/2015. The Department of Environmental Management trains scientists and engineers at undergraduate and graduate levels in Environment and Natural Resources Management. In addition, the department also has the strength in scientific research and technology transfer in the field of Environment and Natural Resources Management.

SELF-ASSESSMENT REPORT ACCORDING TO AUN-QA

The Department of Environmental Management (DEM) has conducted this Self-Assessment Report (SAR) of its Bachelor of Engineering in Environment and Natural Resources Management (BEENRM) programme according to AUN-QA criteria to review the training process as a whole to point out its strengths and weaknesses.  On that basis, it is possible to identify measures to improve the training quality to meet the development requirements of Can Tho University (CTU), the society as well as the desire for integration into regional and international education.  The main content in the self-assessment report includes 8 standards, in which:

QUALITY ASSESSMENT OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM OF BACHELOR ENGINEERING IN ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT BASED ON THE 348th AUN-QA STANDARD

The education program of BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING IN ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT of Can Tho University is one of four education programs implementing quality assurance activities based on the 348th AUN-QA Framework.
This is an important activity in addition to constantly striving to improve the quality to meet higher education standards, quality assurance and quality accreditation to meet the regional as well as global educational standard.
According to Plan No. 814/KH-ĐHCT-QLCL dated March 30, 2022 of the Rector of Can Tho University and Plan No. 1134/KH-ĐHCT-MT&TNTN, April 25, 2022 of the College of Environment and Natural Resources evaluates the education program of bachelor of engineering in ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT according to AUN-QA standards. This is the quality accreditation standard for the university system of ASEAN (ASEAN University Network - Quality Assurance) with the mission of promoting quality assurance activities at higher education institutions, improving the quality of higher education and cooperation with domestic and foreign institutions.
Quality assessment activities according to the 348th AUN-QA quality assurance framework for the Environment and Natural Resources Management program will include an interview phase and a facility assessment phase of the university lasts from September 19, 2023 to September 21, 2023. Strict and transparent inspection process; a set of comprehensive assessment standards for training quality and is recognized by the education system of countries inside and outside in Southeast Asia.
